An appeal to my reasonable conservative friends:

Important: if you are not reasonable and open-minded, don’t read any further. I’m not looking for “zots.” I’m looking for reasonable people who are serious about making the right choice. When I know I’ve chosen wisely, I feel at peace, without doubt in my mind, and start to get excited – like Chrissy Mathews, I get “that tingle.” How do you feel when you know you’ve made the right choice?

At this point, you’ve been following the primary race for months, and that means you are looking to make the right choice. Are you aware of how important making the right choice is in this primary process? I agree, and that’s why it is important to keep an open mind. That’s why you’ve read this far, so you might as well hear me out.

Obama has made it clear that he is pinning his reelection efforts on class warfare. So, think about whom you would want the GOP nominee to be if you were Obama, and you needed a target for class warfare? I agree – Mitt Romney. Understand that Obama uses Alinsky tactics, and Alinsky tactic 13 is “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Simply put, it is much easier to attack an organization or an idea if you can ‘put a face on it’. If you can find a single individual who both represents your opponent, and who, given the right spin, can be portrayed as the face of evil, you can use this person as a proxy for your attacks on your adversary. What face would you put on the 1%? Mitt Romney.

You may think that Mitt Romney is a great guy, and a great example of success, and I agree with some of that (and certainly applaud his success), and I would add that you should have no doubt in your mind that this is exactly what Obama will do (stick a big, fat 1% on him), and you can imagine that he is licking his chops in anticipation of doing it. If Mitt Romney is the nominee, this is what the general election will look like. Click Here. No matter what he says or how well he says it, he will not be able to shake that label. How does that make you feel about Mitt? And it doesn’t help that he has a habit of making mistakes and saying the wrong thing. Click here. Even Romney booster John McCain no longer believes Romney can win. Click Here. Moving on.

Obama’s second trick is throwing “red meat” distractions to keep us from discussing the areas where he is most vulnerable, such as economic and foreign policy. The biggest distraction so far has been the contraception controversy. And Rick Santorum took the bait- big time. Rick Santorum is a great father with great moral values, but he is also a one trick pony. Social issues are important, but he just can’t stop talking about them, and that has gotten him in a ton of trouble. The issue isn’t that he talks a lot about social policy, the issue is that he just can’t change gears quickly enough to avoid the damage caused by Obama’s intentional deceptions and sleights-of-hand. Consider how many distractions Obama will throw out there if Rick is the nominee. We’ll be talking about birth control all the way through November. By the time Rick manages to shift the debate back to Obama’s weak points, it may be too late.

Rick also tends to make serious, and very public, mistakes. For example, he loses his cool very quickly. Click Here. Cringing? He also gets confused regularly – in this instance, he gives Obama credit for CREATING jobs, publicly, on CNN! Click here. Just imagine if he makes even ONE mistake like this in the months between the nomination and the general election. Understand the very real risk with Rick. How do you feel about that, given the stakes?

Please understand that all of this is just fact, and I understand that some of you will now feel a bit disturbed and unsure at this point. But, I digress.

Newt is a flawed man, but recognize that his flaws are less subject to substantive attack. For example, Freddie and Fannie? It may be a big deal in the Republican primary, but Democrats do NOT want to go there! Yes, he’s had multiple marriages, but how many times has Rush been married? Do you still listen to Rush, at least here and there? And, of course, Democrats cannot launch credible attacks on the subject of adultery – we can go there. Before I close, I urge you to do one thing, and one thing only… please watch this video – click here. You’ve read this far, so another minute or two won’t kill you. Click here. Now, how do you feel about this man going up against Barack Obama?

The above letter from J.M. Stein at Red Side of Life is so good, as is, that I chose not to break up his text with my comments.

Indeed, Stein makes a very compelling case. But if there is still any doubt in your mind, please consider a few additional facts:

  • Besides the “1%er” card that Stein says will be played against Romney, the Democrats also have their old favorite: the race card. Mitt is a very committed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka the Mormons, and until 1978, Mormon theology relegated blacks to a kind of second-class membership in the church. After considerable social and political pressure, the church’s “living prophet” declared a new “revelation” changing the previous position which had been held since the church’s inception. Already, many on the Left are raising a stink about this. We can be sure that if Mitt were the nominee, this ugly issue would only get uglier — much uglier. The Democrat-Media Complex will make sure of that.
  • The issue of contraception is problematic for Santorum not only for the reason Stein explains — namely, that the Left is skillfully and shamelessly using it to sidetrack discussion away from Obama’s staggering malfeasances in both foreign and domestic policy — but also because the driving force behind Obama is the “Shadow Party” funded by George Soros, who has an obsession with population control. Soros and other Agenda 21 promoters believe that world population must be reduced by literally billions of people. Santorum, the father of seven children — one of whom has Trisomy-18, a genetic disorder for which many Leftists believe abortion to be the only appropriate response — has the Left’s bull’s-eye on his back.
  • The Left surely will demonize Newt just as viciously as they would Romney or Santorum. That’s what the Left does — to anyone who opposes them. A key difference, however, is that Newt fights back. Like the late, great Andrew Breitbart, Newt is a “happy warrior” who both understands the Left, and loves taking them on. Plus, like Breitbart, Newt understands that Big Media is every bit as much our opponent as is the Democratic Party. He is smart, articulate and confident enough to be able to answer their attacks on the spot, without hemming or hawing. People in media continually try to nail Newt with their “gotcha” questions — but they never succeed.
  • America’s survival is threatened not only by terrorism and rogue states outside our borders, but by two major enemies within: communism and radical Islam. Yet, no other candidate besides Newt even mentions Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers and George Soros. Newt is the only one who seems to recognize — or at least, will publicly say — that Obama is not a misguided incompetent with well-meaning intentions, but rather a Marxist radical who believes America is more evil than good, and who is committed to destroying the freedoms that have made America great. As for radical Islam, while Rick Santorum recognizes the threat from Iran, and is very knowledgeable on national security matters, only Newt recognizes — and openly talks aboutthe giant strides that sharia (Islamic law) has already made right here in the U.S., thanks to CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA and the whole alphabet soup of Muslim Brotherhood-spawned groups that, despite proven connections to Hamas and other terror groups, are presented as legitimate “moderates” in our media and have infiltrated our government at high levels, including within the Department of Homeland Security.
  • We can look around and see the perfect storm of economic collapse, national-security threats and inflamed social passions that is converging on us. America is — whether or not we yet realize it — in as much danger now as Britain was in the spring of 1940. Almost too late, the British people finally recognized that Winston Churchill — whom they’d previously despised as “impulsive” and “arrogant,” whom they’d castigated for his “poor judgment” and “grandiose ideas” — was actually the best man, perhaps the only man, who could lead them through the crisis. I’m not saying Newt is Churchill — but having studied Churchill, I am struck by the remarkable parallels between the two. Just as Churchill saw who Hitler really was long before most of his countrymen woke up, Newt understands the dangers to America that many people have so far been unable or unwilling to see. Newt will help open their eyes — because, like Churchill, Newt has a gift for explaining things in ways people can understand. Just as importantly, Newt has the bulldog tenacity and unabashed can-do attitude that the nation needs in its leader if we are to make it through the tough times ahead. As we saw so clearly during the South Carolina debate — when standing ovations kept erupting as Newt spoke — Newt has, as Churchill did, the power to inspire.

Don’t get me wrong. I recycle every kind of paper, metal, glass and plastic; I take my own reusable canvas tote bags with me to the grocery store; I purchase from local and/or organic farmers as much as possible. I believe in good stewardship of the earth God has given us. What’s changed is my attitude toward “environmentalist” advocacy groups.

I joined the Sierra Club in 1982 because at that time I bought the establishment-media line that Reagan’s Interior Secretary, James Watt, was evil incarnate and had to be stopped. I joined Audubon because I love birds. I joined World Wildlife Fund because I was concerned about the rate at which tropical rainforest was disappearing.

Well, I still love birds, trees and everything else God created besides us humans — but I quit all three of the above organizations quite a few years back because they crossed the line from love of animals to hostility toward humans; all of them, especially Sierra Club, vigorously promote population control — which always comes down to abortion. It’s bad enough I’m forced to pay for abortions with my tax dollars; I’ll be darned if I’m going to donate to abortion promoters of my own free will.

Nevertheless, all through the ’90s, I continued to support two watchdog groups, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). Silent on the population issue, they instead focused on making sure that laws already on the books were enforced, and that governments and businesses were held accountable. I saw a place — and still do — for watchdogs. After all, when I was living in Texas in the ’80s, I myself had fought — and rightly so, I believe — to get the State of Texas to enforce its own regulations on several uranium mill-tailings dumps. The uranium mills not only were out of compliance, but were continuing to operate despite the fact that their licenses had long since expired.

NRDC and EDF were not involved with our effort on that front, but I’d always seen their mission as similar. Somewhere along the line, though, these groups came to represent, whether intentionally or not, an agenda that is less about holding corporations accountable than it is about destroying the free-market system altogether.

Of course, nowadays, these groups (which I no longer support) are largely redundant, since the Environmental Protection Agency itself has become the most radical anti-business entity of all  Case in point:

Shell Oil Company has announced it must scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska. The decision comes following a ruling by the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits. The move has angered some in Congress and triggered a flurry of legislation aimed at stripping the EPA of its oil drilling oversight.

Shell has spent five years and nearly $4 billion dollars on plans to explore for oil in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas. The leases alone cost $2.2 billion. Shell Vice President Pete Slaiby says obtaining similar air permits for a drilling operation in the Gulf of Mexico would take about 45 days. He’s especially frustrated over the appeal board’s suggestion that the Arctic drill would somehow be hazardous for the people who live in the area. “We think the issues were really not major,” Slaiby said, “and clearly not impactful for the communities we work in.”

The closest village to where Shell proposed to drill is Kaktovik, Alaska. It is one of the most remote places in the United States. According to the latest census, the population is 245 and nearly all of the residents are Alaska natives. The village, which is 1 square mile, sits right along the shores of the Beaufort Sea, 70 miles away from the proposed off-shore drill site.

The EPA’s appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project. Environmental groups were thrilled by the ruling.  [emphasis added]

Got that? The EPA wants Shell to flush its $4 billion investment down the drain because of carbon dioxide emissions from a ship! (What does the EPA have to say about the carbon dioxide being emitted by every one of those 245 natives every time they exhale?) The world’s main institutions dealing with “climate change” (NASA, IPCC, CRU, et al.) have been shown to have engaged in scandalous fraud — egregious enough that the whole theory of man-caused climate change has been thrown into doubt, if not substantially disproven — and yet, the Obama administration persists in acting as if ClimateGate never happened!

At stake is an estimated 27 billion barrels of oil. That’s how much the U. S. Geological Survey believes is in the U.S. portion of the Arctic Ocean. For perspective, that represents two and a half times more oil than has flowed down the Trans Alaska pipeline throughout its 30-year history. That pipeline is getting dangerously low on oil. At 660,000 barrels a day, it’s carrying only one-third its capacity.

Production on the North Slope of Alaska is declining at a rate of about 7 percent a year. If the volume gets much lower, pipeline officials say they will have to shut it down.

“It’s driving investment and production overseas,” said Alaska’s DNR Commissioner Dan Sullivan. “That doesn’t help the United States in any way, shape or form.”

The EPA did not return repeated calls and e-mails. The Environmental Appeals Board has four members: Edward Reich, Charles Sheehan, Kathie Stein and Anna Wolgast. All are registered Democrats and Kathie Stein was an activist attorney for the Environmental Defense Fund.  [emphasis added]

Environmental “watchdogs”? No, they’ve become attack dogs — and they’re going for the jugular of the free-market system that keeps you and me and other human beings clothed, sheltered and fed.

We saw how quickly the forces of “political correctness” acted to remove a beautifully done advertisement that spoke the truth about the way abortion is decimating the African-American population. But, praise God, African-American pastors are standing up for truth.

From LifeSiteNews:

After the mayor of the District of Columbia was arrested for protesting a budget deal that banned taxpayer funds for local abortions, a group of local black pastors have expressed shock at the mayor’s pro-abortion “passion” and announced the planned opening of a new pregnancy center to help D.C. women avoid abortion. Washington, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray was arrested Monday on charges of trespassing after he led a group in front of Senate office buildings to protest the deal restoring the Dornan amendment banning abortion funding in D.C., which is estimated to save 1,000 lives from abortion in the city each year.

In response, a coalition of D.C. pastors are challenging the mayor to stand up for “the tiniest of constituents who truly cannot speak for themselves” – the unborn.

An open letter was signed by 10 African American pastors from the District of Columbia and surrounding areas, including Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr. and Rev. Dean Nelson of Care Net, a national network of 1,130 pregnancy centers.

“Who could have imagined during the height of the Civil Rights Movement a day when the mayor of Washington, D.C. would be arrested for protesting for the right to use tax dollars to abort babies, a disproportionate number of them black? As pastors and community leaders, we feel bewildered and betrayed,” states the letter.

At the 2011 Rally for Life in Washington, Pastor Luke Quinn, of Quinn Chapel A.M.E., Frederick, MD, asks: “Where is President Obama? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton?”

“Abortion is the leading cause of death in the black community nationwide,” the pastors write. “While African American women represent 13% of the female population, they undergo 37% of all abortions.

“As a leader charged with our protection and government, we are shocked at your passion to continue this trend with tax dollars.”

The letter also states that the coalition of pastors plan to open a new, privately-funded pregnancy center in Washington, D.C. this year in order to offer women life-affirming alternatives to abortion.

This center will be supported by their own congregations, non-profit organizations, and other private sources, to offer practical help, counseling, and resources to help women to carry their pregnancies to term.

In the pro-life movement, Protestants and Catholics have long spoken of their experience of “the ecumenism of the trenches.” When Catholics and Protestants are being carted off to jail together for blocking the doors of the abortion chambers, historical differences between their churches have a way of fading away into insignificance. Similarly, any traces of tension between different races melt away quickly in the crucible of pro-life activism.

The ultimate healing between the races will come not from government-imposed “politically correct” mandates, but from shared dedication to truth. And there are few truths more fundamental than that of the innate worth and dignity of every human being.

Good golly, Miss Molly, some days I wake up and I still can’t believe my fellow Americans elected this creep to the White House:

President Obama said Tuesday he would not sign a budget agreement to keep the government running that cuts funding for Planned Parenthood and the Environmental Protection Agency.

“There can be some negotiation about composition,” Obama told reporters…. “What we can’t be doing is using last year’s budget process to have arguments about abortion, to have arguments about the Environmental Protection Agency, to try to use this budget negotiation as a vehicle for every ideological or political difference between the two parties.”

Well, Barry, I heartily agree that the government shouldn’t be shut down over disagreements about Planned Parenthood and the EPA.  So get the hell out of the way and quit obstructing the budget cuts that the majority of the American people want!

Riders included in the House budget bill would, among other things, defund Planned Parenthood and remove the EPA’s authority to regulate “greenhouse gases” blamed for climate change.

Let’s be clear, Barry. The plain fact is you’d rather shut down the government than allow We the People and our Congress to defund an organization that was founded by a eugenics fanatic, targets black babies for destruction, breaks the law, and aids and abets child molesters. And you’d rather shut down the U.S. government than lose your ability to use the EPA to destroy what’s left of the U.S. economy all for the sake of some mythical theory whose top proponents were caught red-handed committing gross scientific fraud.

“What we can’t do is have a my-way-or-the-highway approach to this problem,” Obama said.

Well, look who’s talking! That’s rich. Just rich.

“If you’re a small business right now and you’re counting on a small business loan, it may make a difference in whether or not you can keep that business going. And you find out you can’t process it for three or four weeks, or five weeks or six weeks, because of some bickering in Washington? What does that say about our priorities? It doesn’t make sense.”

Damn right it doesn’t make sense…  that our president is willing to hold every small business, every family, in America hostage — for the sake of his beloved baby-killers at Planned Parenthood and his beloved economy-killers at the EPA.

From LifeSiteNews:

A group of 37 pro-life organizations active at the United Nations presented an award to Chilean President Sebastián Piñera Echenique last Saturday in an event that was covered by the country’s television networks and other major media. Dan Zeidler, coordinator of the International Committee for the Protection of Life, praised the pro-life policies of the Chilean government as he handed the award to Piñera, pointing out that the country’s prohibition of all surgical abortions is accompanied by the lowest infant mortality rate in Latin America.

“We celebrate that more Chilean women have given birth more safely than ever,” Zeidler said. “Chile is a good example for other countries of the world that are trying to reduce their maternal mortality to reach the Millennium Development Goals of the UNO (United Nations Organization).”

The International Protect Life Award was given to Piñera not only for his country’s complete prohibition of the killing of unborn children, but also because his government has maintained policies that care for women facing difficult pregnancies and promote the value of human life in television campaigns.

The government’s “Committed to Life” program offers assistance to women who face financial challenges and other problems during their pregnancies. The “Chile Grows with You” advertising campaign features a pregnant woman with the slogan, “My (unborn) child hears and experiences the world just as I do. We’re connected!” The ad says: “An invitation from the government to protect children.”

President Sebastian Pinera of Chile (right), receives the International Protect Life Award from Dan Zeidler, coordinator of the International Committee for the Protection of Life.

On President Piñera’s own official website, he says:

“It is…  not enough to say that we are in favor of life and against abortion. If we want to be consistent with our principles, we must be able to provide emotional, psychological and practical help and support to those women who are vulnerable, because they have to deal with a pregnancy under difficult conditions.”

President Piñera has supported and/or launched a number of initiatives aimed at ensuring that society stays family-friendly.

“Many have discussed the effects on employment of the six month postnatal maternity leave program. It is true, there are consequences for employment, but let’s look at the other side: what is the value to a child of spending the first six months of life with his or her mother, given that this is the most vulnerable time of their life, and also the period of greatest potential?”

In his concluding remarks upon acceptance of the International Protect Life Award, President Piñera said:

“I accept this award on behalf of all Chilean women, especially Chilean mothers, because it motivates and encourages us to continue working towards a society that has body and soul.”

A society that has body and soul.

Would that the president of the United States were committed to that same ideal!

President Allen West will be.

People who want to keep legal the killing of babies before birth bristle when they’re called “pro-abortion.” They say they’re not pro-abortion at all, just “pro-choice.” Well, anyone with two cents worth of common sense can see the problem with that term:  The targeted baby gets absolutely no choice at all in the matter. And we can pretty safely assume that if the baby were given the choice, he or she would not choose to be killed.

But the problem with “pro-choice” goes even further. Over and over, we have seen that the pro-legal-abortion people don’t want women to have real choices, either! When those of us who respect women and babies try to pass informed-consent laws — laws that would require that women seeking abortions be given factual information about not only fetal development but also health risks to women from abortion — the “pro-choice” people fight us all the way. While pretending to be advocates for women, they vigorously campaign to deprive women of information, especially any information that might cause them to weigh more positively the option of bringing the baby to term.

Clearly, “pro-choice” activists only approve of one particular choice: the “choice” to abort. That’s why “pro-choicers” in New York are trying to shut down the crisis pregnancy centers that offer women choices other than abortion. Fortunately, the Alliance Defense Fund is fighting back. From LifeSiteNews:

A federal lawsuit has been filed against the city of New York over a new law that requires pro-life pregnancy care centers to publish messages that would encourage pregnant women to seek help elsewhere. Centers that do not comply could face steep fines or forcible closure by city health authorities. The lawsuit filed by the Alliance Defense Fund is in response to Bill 371-A, which was signed into law by Mayor Michael Bloomberg last Wednesday.

The law requires non-medical, pro-life “pregnancy services centers” to inform women with notices posted in both English and Spanish whether they have a licensed medical provider on staff. The signs would also state that the city’s Health Department encourages women to seek help from a licensed medical provider if the center does not have one on staff.

It also requires the pro-life centers to post on signs and ads whether they provide referrals for abortion, “emergency contraception,” and prenatal care.

The notices are required both for the pregnancy centers’ facilities and on their advertizing – in a size and font to be determined by city authorities.

“At a time when New Yorkers believe the city’s abortion ratio to be too high, it’s absurd to see the city work with pro-abortion groups to ensure that the public is ‘protected’ from the ‘threat’ of these compassionate, caring, nonprofit groups that exist specifically because they oppose harm to women and their babies,” said Matt Bowman, legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF).

The ADF said that the law seems clearly biased, since state law does not require medical providers at non-medical centers, nor does it require abortion providers, such as Planned Parenthood, to make any disclosures in favor of abortion alternatives.

Failure to post the signs can result in fines of up to $1,000 for the first day of violation and up to $2,500 for each day thereafter. After three days of violation within a two-year period, the city health commissioner can shut down the center with the assistance of police. Other parts of the law allow for additional fines and imprisonment.

In other words, if you are a center offering, absolutely free of charge, life-affirming choices to women in need, you must now deliberately sabotage your own purpose for existing — or be shut down and go to prison. How’s that for “choices”?

The NYC law is similar to ordinances in Montgomery County, Maryland, and Baltimore that are also caught up in federal court. ADF has filed legal challenges against those ordinances claiming that they are a case of government compelling speech in violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The Constitution. What a funny little quaint old concept. In modern America, we’re past that now, aren’t we?

“Pro-choicers” are worried because they know as well as pro-lifers do that when women considering abortion receive loving, supportive counseling from caring pro-life women (many of these volunteers are women who had abortions themselves and deeply regretted it), they are more likely to choose not to have an abortion. And when women considering abortion are allowed to see an ultrasound of the baby they’re carrying, 70 to 90 percent of them choose to let their baby live. Since more and more crisis pregnancy centers are obtaining ultrasound scanners and the trained personnel to operate them, these centers represent an ever-growing threat to outfits such as Planned Parenthood, which rakes in millions from performing over 330,000 abortions a year. From a “pro-choicer’s” standpoint, it’s imperative to get those crisis pregnancy centers shut down, especially before they have a chance to obtain ultrasound equipment and personnel.

But consider: If the thugs in New York are allowed to shut down crisis pregnancy centers, how much longer will it be until they are able to shut down churches that preach things they don’t like? Or independent presses that print things they don’t like? Or private schools that teach things they don’t like?

You might want to consider making a donation to the Alliance Defense Fund.

Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., had an abortion years ago, and regretted it. Now she’s a leader in the “Silent No More” movement.  And although she is an evangelical Protestant, she is one of the top staffers at Fr. Frank Pavone’s Priests for Life organization. Clearly, Alveda King is a woman who thinks for herself, and frustrates those who like to pigeonhole people into easy categories.

Right now, Dr. King is taking some flak for her support of a billboard that presents a tragic and horrible truth in a visually arresting way.

CNS News reports:

Pro-life activist Alveda King reacted to the removal on Friday of a billboard advertisement in Manhattan that featured a black girl and the statement “the most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb.”“It is an outrageous act of censorship that this billboard was taken down,” King said. “This billboard should be posted in every city of the country.

The billboard message’s placement comes in the wake of a report released last month by the New York City Department of Health that revealed an abortion rate of 41 percent of all pregnancies in the city in 2009 — with 59.8 percent of those to African-American women.

“The message of this billboard is totally accurate,” King said in a statement issued by Priests for Life where she is the director of African-American Outreach. “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb!”

She added: “And it should provoke outrage in the African-American community—not because it is racist, but because of the truth it reveals; the truth that is being kept from the African-American community.”

The billboard message was a project of thatsabortion.com, which paid for the message as part of its LifeAlways project.

“There is a battle being waged in the United States that has taken more lives than any foreign war or act of terrorism,” the Web site states about the project. “The enemy is abortion.

“Its supporters include the main stream media, liberal representatives in government, and Planned Parenthood, the country’s largest abortion provider,” the statement says.

The recent “sting” operations at Planned Parenthood facilities in several states brought negative attention to Planned Parenthood at the very time that legislation to cut off federal funding for PP (last year it was $363 million) was being debated in the House (it passed on February 18).  And the Gosnell case in Pennsylvania — highlighting as it does the utter complicity of entire departments of state government in illegal activities at abortion clinics — has not helped a business whose cash cow is abortion and which is the number one abortion provider in the nation.

It’s good that we’re finally shining the sunlight of publicity into these dark places and disinfecting them, but one of the worst aspects of Planned Parenthood is only just beginning to crack public awareness: Planned Parenthood’s deliberate targeting of minority women. (Some 78 percent of PP’s clinics are located in minority communities.) In this, the organization is following in the footsteps of its foundress, Margaret Sanger. Sanger was a leader in the American eugenics movement, which Adolf Hitler praised, and credited for helping to develop his thinking about ridding the human gene pool of  “undesirables.” Hitler focused initially on the mentally and physically disabled and the mentally ill, before moving on to Jews, homosexuals and the Rom (gypsies). Sanger focused on the mentally and physically disabled and the mentally ill, as well as on African-Americans and other minorities.

CNN reported on Friday that Lamar Advertising, which owns the billboard, decided to take down the message after people who opposed it threatened workers in the building located next to the billboard.

What is it with the Left, anyway? In their eagerness to beat up on people, they’ll even threaten innocent bystanders, who had nothing to do with placing that billboard!

The Rev. Al Sharpton had reportedly planned a protest at the site of the billboard on Saturday and pro-abortions groups had also complained about the pro-life message.

Mary Alice Carr, vice president of communications for NARAL Pro-Choice New York, said in a statement that the billboard was “attacking women for choosing abortion while simultaneously destroying family planning.”

But King said the billboard should have provoked a different kind of outrage.

“Black people in New York and all over the country should be outraged at the numbers of black babies we lose every single day to abortion,” King said. “An astonishing 60 percent of African-American pregnancies in the five boroughs of New York City end in abortion.

“That’s unfathomable,” King said.

And it’s unfathomable that anyone is still buying the tired old lie that abortion is about “liberating” anyone.
